We simply couldnt find any other way to cover up a water stain beneath an old window. Ive painted quite a bit of this material in the past. To paint thoroughly clean the wallpaper and apply several coats of an oil-based primer. Reluctantly we had to paint over the original grass cloth wallpaper.
